When evolution designed us with its slow-moving hands, moulding & adapting us to the changing environment, the world was a vastly different place.

Our ancestors adapted, and they adapted well. What didn’t kill them, made them stronger. Today’s environment however, has drastically changed. Beyond recognition & beyond the wildest dreams of our forefathers, we have subjugated the environment to our will.

The modern corporate is such an example. With noble intent, the modern workplace has been made as comfortable and as protected as possible.

However, the short term focus on comfort has taken away the avenues for our drives to bloom to the fullest. Less Sunlight exposure, limited movement, decreased variation in climate, absence of wilderness, noise of traffic, and the constant supply of easily digestible processed food has taken away all of our primary challenges. The body, however, remains largely ancient; the relics of our past live inside us still, haunting our daily lives with fight or flight responses alongside impulsive compulsive behaviours. The body & the instincts still yearn to hunt & endure the elements, but the allure of easily accessible comfort makes us take the path of least resistance.

The old dangers of survival are replaced with the new pressures that have come into the picture; invisible triggers of stress responses, consistent dread of what’s to come, chemicals in the air, food, and water messing up with our hormones, and a steady dose of sensational media.

Accompanying the modern lifestyle problems is an ignorance on how to deal with them effectively. A fast paced life seldom allows time for self-care & self-actualization. It is in helping solve this conundrum of an ancient human in a modern world, that we have created the Corporate Wellness Workshop. Designed specifically to help people adapt better to their stressors, the program works on activating & maintaining the neuroplasticity of the brain & the activation of a host of coping mechanisms to not only adapt to a stressful environment, but to thrive in them like we were originally designed to.
